Sri Lankan Curry

  • 400g pumpkin / potato
  • 6 tsp coconut milk / powder + water
  • salt
  • saffron
  • curry leaves
  • onion
  • chili
  • garlic
  • sugar

pumpkin / potato curry

Mix 200 ml coconut milk with all the ingredients and add 100 ml water. Heat the mixture. Let everything simmer for a few minutes.

  • 300 ml coconut milk

chicken curry

Mix everything together and let it cook until the chicken is ready to eat.

  • 150ml coconut milk
  • onion
  • garlic
  • turmeric
  • curry powder
  • curry leaves
  • chili
  • salt
  • oil

Dhal

Boil the cooked lentils, salt, turmeric, curry powder and half of the curry leaves in water. After 10 minutes, add the coconut milk and let everything simmer. Fry the onions, garlic and the remaining curry leaves in oil and add the chopped chili. Mix the onion mixture with the dhal. You can also refine the dhal with ginger, cardamom and cinnamon.
